Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is not injured and will be in Manchester ahead of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) semi-final.
Camavinga was substituted last night in Madrid vs Getafe as the 20-year-old had some discomfort in his knee after a challenge by Getafe’s player Juan Iglesias.
There was news of some serious discomfort in the 20-year-old midfielder’s knee and he could be a doubt for Man City’s game.
However, Madrid’s head coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed in his post-match press conference that the French midfielder will be ready in time for City’s game.
“It was just a knock. He will recover fast,” said the 63-year-old Italian. “He will rest tomorrow and return to training on Monday.”
According to the very reliable Arancha Rodriguez, Camavinga is not injured and he will play without any problem against the English champions.
As of today (May 14), all of Real Madrid's first-team players are fit to play against Man City in the UCL semi-final second leg at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday (May 17).
Man City are in hot form as they defeated Everton today by three goals with Erling Haaland and Ilkay Gudogan scoring one and two goals respectively.
Last week, the first leg of the semi-final between Real Madrid and Manchester City ended in a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu on May 9.
City dominated the early minutes of the match as at one point they had 72 percent possession of the ball, but everything changed as Madrid's Vinicius Junior scored a brilliant curling shot from outside the box in the 36th minute of the game.
Similarly, the Los Blancos dominated a larger part of the second half but City’s Kevin De Bruyne earned them a 1-1 draw with a spectacular low shot from distance in the 67th minute.
“It was a shame that we conceded that goal,” Madrid midfielder Luka Modric said. “I think we deserved more. They had more possession but didn’t create a lot of chances. It’s still 50-50 and we will go into the second match with confidence.”
